In 2024, for the first time in history, the American K-12 public school system passed the $1 trillion mark in spending.
It is a remarkable amount and a reminder that the biggest problem of our education system is not a lack of resources, but how the money is spent. Unfortunately, most of the resources are being used to hire staff despite declining enrolment.
