Real affordability in NY
NY Republicans Roundtable on affordability and the Florida experiment
Last week I joined the NY Roundtable on Affordability led by Senator Stephen Chan and Assembly members Lester Chang and Michale Novakhov. They discussed how to really make NY more affordable by reducing regulation on housing, healthcare, and developing smarter energy policy.
I was able to share my research on education policies and the unaffordable public schools that we have. You can watch it here:
The Florida Experiment
The Economist wrote about the experiment that Florida is running on education and how it is expanding the “a la carte” education options for homeschoolers as well as making public schools to adapt to the new reality.
I highly recommend the article to understand how other states are trusting parents to make choices on what is the best way to provide education to their kids. And how the public and private schools are following parents’ lead and offering more of what families want.
