Spending is up, enrollment and learning is down in NYC
Last week ~900,000 NYC students went back to schools and we recently got more data that confirms what NYC DOE observers have been saying for a long time: “No city spends more to achieve such mediocre results for its children.”

What I am reading this week
I have been struck by back to school routine so all I had time the past few weeks was to watch “How the Universe Works” with my kids. If you have a kid who loves astrophysics, this is a great show!
